- How can I pay for my trip ?
We accept payments through Transferwise and bank transfers.
- Do I pay my trip in one payment ?
You can pay for the entirety of your trip or you can make monthly payments. The only thing we require is that half of the cost of your trip be paid 60 days before the start of your trip and in full 30 days before the start of your trip.
- Which travel documents do I need in order to come ?
To join Awaken, you will need a passport that does not expire 6 months after entering the country and international travel insurance
- Do I need a Visa to go to Ecuador ?
For the vast majority of nationalities, a 90-day tourist permit will be issued upon arrival in Ecuador with no extra charge.
- Where can I find cheap flights ?

- Do I need special vaccinations ?
There are no required vaccines to visit Ecuador. However, the Ecuadorian health authorities recommend that you be up to date on all of your basic inoculations.
- Do I need to know Spanish before coming ?
No, knowing Spanish is not necessary (although it is helpful!).
- Who can join Awaken ?
Anyone above the age of 18!
- Can I change my trip ?
You can change the dates of your trip for an already scheduled trip of the same focus for the same period of time without additional charge.
- How flexible are the dates? Can I fly in before/after the specified start/end dates ?
You are able to fly into Quito and stay at the Awaken house two days before the trip begins and two days after the trip ends without any extra cost. You are free to leave anytime you want during the trip – know that you will miss out on activities.
- What if I need to cancel my trip ?
You must pay for half of the cost 60 days in advance and in full 30 days in advance. If you cancel 30 days in advance, you will receive a 50% refund (minus bank transfer fees).
